What does INSIGHTA INC do?
We are a software design and development studio in North Hollywood, Los Angeles. We design and build custom software, web and mobile apps, integrations, cloud infrastructure and AI features for small and mid-sized businesses and startups.
Do you only work with Los Angeles companies?
Most of our clients are in Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley, and we are happy to meet in person. We also work remotely with companies across the United States.
How do projects usually start?
With a free 30-minute call, followed by a short paid discovery that produces a clear scope, fixed price for the first release and a timeline.
How do you price projects?
First releases are quoted at a fixed price after discovery. Ongoing work is billed through monthly support or retainer plans with a defined number of hours.
Will we own the software?
Yes. Source code, design files, documentation and cloud accounts belong to your company.

How much does custom software cost? — Custom Software Development
Most first releases we build land between $25,000 and $120,000, depending on the number of user roles, integrations and screens. After a short paid discovery we give you a fixed price for the first release so the budget is never a moving target.
Should we build a web app or a mobile app? — Web Application Development
If your users mostly sit at a desk, or you need to move quickly, start with a responsive web app — one codebase, instant updates. If you need push notifications, offline use in the field or deep device features, we will recommend native or cross-platform mobile.
How long does it take to build an app? — Mobile App Development
A focused first version typically takes 10–16 weeks including design, build, testing and store review. A clickable prototype is ready in the first two to three weeks.
Can you redesign our existing product without rebuilding it? — UI/UX & Product Design
Often, yes. We audit the current experience, redesign the highest-impact flows first and work with your developers so improvements ship in stages.
Can you work with a non-technical founder? — SaaS & MVP Development
Yes — most of our MVP clients are. We explain trade-offs in plain language and act as your technical partner until you hire your own team.
Can you integrate with a system that has no API? — Systems Integration & APIs
Often yes — through file exports, database connectors or secure automation. We assess reliability first and tell you honestly if a workaround is fragile.
Can you migrate us from a single server to the cloud? — Cloud & DevOps Engineering
Yes. We plan migrations in phases with a rollback path at each step and schedule cutovers outside your busy hours.
Is our data used to train public models? — AI & Machine Learning Integration
No. We configure providers with data-retention controls and, where required, use models hosted in your own cloud account.
Our original developer is gone. Can you still help? — Legacy Software Modernization
Yes — this is the most common situation we see. We reconstruct how the system works from code, data and interviews with the people who use it.
Shopify or custom? — E-commerce Development
Shopify suits most retailers and is quick to launch. We recommend custom or headless when you need unusual pricing, configuration, B2B rules or a performance edge Shopify themes cannot reach.
Can you test software another company built? — QA & Software Testing
Yes. We often join existing teams to set up automation and provide independent testing before major releases.
What are your response times? — Software Maintenance & Support
Critical issues receive a response within one hour, around the clock on our Priority plan; standard requests are handled within one business day.
We only use spreadsheets. Is this for us? — Data & Analytics Solutions
Yes. Many projects begin by automating the spreadsheets you already maintain, then moving them onto a proper data foundation.
How much does discovery cost? — Technology Consulting & Discovery
Discovery engagements typically range from $6,000 to $18,000 depending on scope. If you continue with us into development, the discovery fee is credited against the first release.
